Three Sign For Bristol Rovers Academy

04/09/2020
Port of Bristol Youth FC presented three very talented boys from last season U8 squad with embroidered badge pennants.

Jaylen White, Rhys Mills & William Jones all received these from the club at our presentation evening on Wednesday, after leaving to join Bristol Rovers Academy following a successful time with their pre academy.

Chris George said "It is such a pity to lose these boys from my squad as all of them have created great friendships and were very good characters within it. That being said I am so proud of all three and the fact they have been recognised because of their talent on the pitch is great for the boys. I have watched them grow, not just as players over the 4 years I have coached them but as people and they are cracking lads."

The club pennants are a tradition that was started when we lost our first players to Academies, with Callum Lawlor & Ted Haines being the first recipients in 2018. These are given as little memento for the players to remember their time at Port of Bristol Youth and where their footballing journey started.

Boys,
Good luck from everyone at Port of Bristol Youth
