PITCH LAYOUT & MARKING

The layout of the pitches will stay as they currently are whilst work is still ongoing on new pitches adjacent to main pitch outside club. We understand for some this is not ideal but with the pitch renovations taking longer than expected, due to a number of reasons this will be how we layout for the time being. (We still could require spare hands on getting this renovation project over the line, please message in here or in your groups if you could spare time to help out) There is a lot of reasons as to why this has yet been completed, which I will go into at a later date but with the number of games on the pitches and us wanting to keep everyone playing at the club there is now a blanket ban on home friendlies. Like last season there is to be no fixtures swapped to our ground unless the leagues enforces the change of venue. Games will have to be rescheduled regardless if our pitch is free I cannot stress enough we need to protect the pitches as much as possible.

Managers you will be expected to liaise with Mark Sage if there is any doubt about your pitches being playable, with his decision final. If there are long periods of times games are not being played we will look to outsource games to an alternative pitch or venue to get games played, but please remember the season is 8 months long and we will not be talking just 1 week it's called off for adverse weather, its more 3-4 weeks where the pitches may be deemed unplayable.

  • MARKING OF PITCHES
Like seasons before pitch marking needs to be done by us. Please ensure this rotated between the age groups and string lined at all times, as pitches are not being done properly by some.

ALL LINES STRINGED INCLUDING BOXES

  • CLEANING OF MARKERS
Can you please use hose pipe from the bowls and clean in the area in-between the wall and containers. There is now a jet washer in the showers for heavier cleaning.

Failure to mark pitches when it is your turn via your rota could result in fixture change or cancellation, meaning your team lost points if competition fixture.

SOCIAL MEDIA (WHATSAPP)

  • POSTING OF FIXTURES
Please state day of match, home or away, opponents and kick off time at the earliest time possible (Monday preferably). This is to help us cover possible clashes should they of been overlooked previously.
  • POSTING OF RESULTS
Please do this after your game has been played.
  • POTW MEDALS
Please post a photo of your 'winner' and their name when announcing your result into this WhatsApp group as per last season these will be allocated per week as housed in the changing room.

Jason Lock submits results for HML with Van submitting for AYL,  so we need your results posted instantly in the social media page after games so we can send the results in by the deadline.

LEAGUE TEAMSHEETS

All leagues have their respected teamsheets that need to be completed on match days and exchanged with oppositions and then sent into the leagues (AYL and HML).

To many times we received fines for these not being sent in to the league by you so please lokk through the handbooks and do so, as the fines went into hundreds of pounds which isn't acceptable.

HML and AYL teams handbooks have been given out by myself and Van, however if you have not had yours please contact Van as he has the reminder.

MATCHDAY FOOD

Once again we have agreed with the PBA that matchday food for players playing on the day will be provided. Due to parents and PBA members taking advantage of the heat plate and health and safety concerns, you now need to pre order numbers for you home and away players and distribute them.

Please contact Dan Clifton via WhatApp 24 hours before with the number of boxes required and the time you will collect from the kitchen.

Failure to do so will mean no food for your players, something we don't want to happen.

STATS

Time to start recording your statistics if you haven't already. This can start no sooner than August 1st and finishes Apr 30th, so please record all goal scorers and assists for every game apart from in house games/tournaments as these do not count towards end of season stats.

Awards for next season for all age groups
  • Managers Player Of The Year
  • Players Player Of The Year
    (*mandatory for U10s & up)
  • Parents Player Of The Year
  • Most Improved Player Of The Year
  • Sportman/Clubman Of The Year
  • Top Goal Scorer
  • Most assist
Same as previous years merit awards are for the season not a few training session and games, usually with the club last 2 months of the season.

WEEKLY PLAN OF ACTION

Below is a action plan of what you need to do as a coach behind the scenes in regards to making things run smooth for the committee in regards to matches. Obviously, there are other things coaches do independently but these are from a club perspective.

  1. Contact via social media WhatApp group to announce upcoming weekend fixture.
  2. If your turn on rota, stringline pitch(es) and mark your formated pitch.
  3. Contact Dan Clifton 24hrs before to confirm numbers who will be requiring food.
  4. Ensure good practice on matchday by checking pitch for foreign bodies, disguarding them and setting up respect barrier and signs.
  5. Contact social media WhatApp group after game with you result, goalscorers and POTW attaching photo.
  6. Send you teamsheet via email into league representative.

Lets have a great positive season and as always work together

Chris
