At this year's presentation we said goodbye to four players, with three from last season's U8s being signed by academy teams and one U9 leaving Bristol and moving to Devon.
Tom Winter and Wilf Drewell have signed for Bristol City with Jenson Best joining Bristol Rovers after all had spent time in the respective pre academy set ups. Everyone at the club is so proud of these boys, especially the coaches they have work with and this has taking the number of players joining academies from Port of Bristol Youth at the close of the U8 age group to eight over the last three seasons.
Another player leaving Port of Bristol Youth is Alfie Roberts who was with last seasons U9 Purple squad after joining the club as a 6 year old. His family is moving to Devon and he has already found a club to ensure the hard work, dedication and fun he had with us isn't going to be lost.
In total, including these boys there has only ever been ten players who have received 'club pendants'. The club feel it is important that these players remember where the football journey started for them and there is a reminder of their time with us.
GOOD LUCK LADS
