Have Referee's Joined The Purple Army?
SEEING PURPLE INSTEAD OF RED:
HOW SHIRTY SPECTATORS ARE BEING SILENCED BY YOUNG REFS
Youth football leagues in Gloucestershire and Bristol are making eye-catching strides towards blowing the full-time whistle on ill-treatment of young referees - by parading them in purple & Port of Bristol Youth Football Club are fully behind this.
Referee's are so important to our game but are in decline due to spectators treatment and we need to encourage youngsters to take up these roles...and this bold move will hopefully let supporters think twice before negative comment.
Port of Bristol Youth already expect our members to fully respect the referee's that officiate our matches and although these positive steps will mean clashes with our own home kit, we have been given assurances from one of our league that we play in, that the referee will where a bib or will have a change of top.
