Two players from our U12s and U15s led by example to some of our younger players who were playing in a recent in house friendly by stepping forward and running the lines for them.
Declan George and Triston Williams were attending the U10 v U11 9v9 game, a format that introduces a number of changes including the offside rule. With the coaches trying to concentrate on just coaching, both boys said they would do the line and they showed great confidence to do a job that can be quite pressurised for adults let alone boys so young.
One of the coaches said, "It is great to see the older boys being good role models to the younger players at the club and this gave them an insight to other parts of the game that they probably haven't ever thought about when playing themselves. The club actively promote healthy ownership and it has clearly rubbed of on them to put a hand up and try something new where some adults would shy away".
